Advice for Trichomoniasis
Many people with trichomoniasis have no symptoms. When symptoms do occur, they can differ between men and women.
In women, symptoms may include a yellow-green vaginal discharge that can look frothy or smell of fish, itching, soreness or swelling around the vagina, pain when peeing, and discomfort during sex.
In men, symptoms may include discharge from the penis, pain or a need to pee more often, and soreness in the penis, testicles, or when ejaculating.
Because symptoms are often absent or mild, it's important to get tested if you think you may have been exposed, even without symptoms.
